When preparing for the in-class final exam of Wed, May 13, 11 AM, focus on the deduction of rate laws from mechanisms; the relationship of the half-life to reaction order, particularly first order; how the stoichiometry of reaction (the balanced overall equation) affects the definition of Rate of reaction; the determination of order using initial rates; the determination and interpretation of the Arrhenius parameters EA and A; Slater determinants and the Pauli Exclusion Principle; and the configurations of atoms, particularly exceptions to the aufbau (n + l) rules. You may have a formular sheet written on one 8.5x11 inch sheet. Optional Review, Wed, May 6, at noon in ST 107.
