Login to ARIS. . .Quick Start Guide (PDF)
Textbook Animations: Click on Resources and navigate to the bottom of Textbook Resources Tree on the left. Expand Study on the Fly and click on it. You should see a screen of downloadable Audio files summarizing each chapter and on the right a list of Video files. The Video files are the animations, but they are listed in alphabetical order not chapter order. The downloads are compressed files (zipped) which must be extracted (expanded) before using. In about 2 weeks from 9/16/09 the animations will appear on the tree next to the appropriate chapter.
You can reach sections of the electronic textbook or E-Book by clicking the Reference link located on the top right of the box in which problems appear while doing an ARIS online Assignment. Once you reach a specific Section of a Chapter in this way, you can then edit the web address to go to another different section. For example the link to Section 1 of Chapter 1 has this form: http://www.mhhe.com/XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX/silberberg5e/ch01/siL48593_ch01_sect01.pdf
To go to section 2 simply replace the sect01 with sect02, that is change the 1 to 2. If you want to see a section in another chapter, you need to change the ch01 in both places that it appears in the web address.
Because some of you still do not have textbooks, I am temporarily providing a link to all of Chapter 7 and to essential sections of Ch 1 & 2. The files for the complete Chapters 1 and 2 are too large for me to link on this Wiki page as they are larger than 10 MB.
