Lab Announcements

The gen chem lab instructors will often have to communicate changes and other information to their specific labs for various reasons. Also, a general message may have to be communicated to all the gen chem lab students in all labs, bear in mind that some semesters we may have more than 600 students meeting in more than 25 lab sections each week. These messages may be as simple as small changes in your lab to important information about the campus closing because of inclement weather. Your gen chem lab instructor will communicate with you in three primary ways. First, important information will be announced in lab. Secondly, messages will be sent out via the email list server (see next section) and finally messages will be posted on this web site. It is your responsibility to keep track of what is going on in your labs. It is highly recommended that you check the announcement section of this website several times a week to see if there are any new messages.

Posted Lab/List Server Announcements For recent lab announcements and information click on the dated links below.

Email List Server This link contains information about how to log on and off of the gen chem email list server. The listserver is a group email box which allows the instructors to communicate with the lab students via email. The list server requires students to log on to the list server at the beginning of the semester. You will then be able to receive timely email messages. Important messages will not only be sent out via the email listserver they will also be posted on this website. It is required that you not only log on to the list server so that you may receive these emails but also you frequently check for messages posted above. Logging on to the List Server-Instructions
