Background:
I am a 1985 graduate of the I. I. Mechnikov State University of Odessa, Ukraine. My academic achievements have been certified by Foreign Credentials Service of America (Austin) and World Education Services (New York) as being equivalent to a Master of Science in Mathematics in the United States of America.
After I got married to an American citizen and immigrated to the United States in December of 1998, I began teaching mathematics in 2000 at Del Mar College and in 2001 at Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi. Now I am an Instructor of Mathematics at TAMUCC.
Research Interests:
I am interested in examining potential impacts of sea-level rise from climate change during the twenty-first
century to flood hazards with a focus on the Coastal region of the Gulf of Mexico.
My interest in applying mathematics to Coastal and Marine System Sciences is neither casual nor accidental. I was born on the coast of the Black Sea and my father was a seaman. The love of the sea and the anticipation of your father’s return are coupled in the mind of the sailor’s family. My interest in mathematics intermingled with the marine atmosphere in which I was raised.
