Education
- Texas A&M University, Doctor of Philosophy, Organic Chemistry, 1997
- Texas A&I University, Master of Science, Chemistry, 1990
- Texas A&I University, Bachelor of Science, Sec. Ed. (Chem./Math), 1985
Research Interests
My primary interest is the asymmetric synthesis of densely functionalized, bioactive compounds. Notably, my lab has produced 1, an oxazoline antibiotic. Future plans include synthesis of related congeners of 1. In addition, schemes have been proposed for scalemic syntheses of bioactive species such as 2, 3, 4 and 5 just to list a few.
